Positive community impact

Community centres are important hubs across the country that give people an opportunity to socialise, learn and access key services.

Youth clubs can help young people feel more connected to their community. They can provide opportunities to volunteer, participate in community events, and get involved in local issues.

Youths must have a safe space to visit and take part in new activities. NYCC provides classes and events such as physical, creative, or social activities. This programme offers many opportunities for young people to make friends and learn new skills. Giving the younger generation a healthy outlet for their energy will prevent anti-social behaviour and nurture the individual’s most positive attributes instead.

Participation in youth provision has positive short- and longer-term outcomes relating to physical health and wellbeing, pro-social behaviours, and education.

The NYCC through the support of the community will have a positive impact on the community of Nantwich.

WELL-BEING and INCLUSIVITY

The NYCC is an inclusive youth group where a young person will feel welcome, secure, and comfortable.

We want young people to be able to celebrate their identity especially those aspects of their identity that make them different from others such as their culture or ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, gender, health including mental health, education, parental status, being a young carer etc.

As an inclusive youth space, we will do awareness raising and anti-discrimination programmes and activities.

We also have a wellbeing room generously donated by Equan, where people can freely enjoy quiet time alone in a tranquil setting.
