The Science Of ADHD & The 6 Pillars Of Health | A Talk With Andy Stone

The Science of ADHD & the Six Pillars of Health
An informative talk with Andy Stone
Join us at Nantwich Youth & Community Centre for an engaging and insightful talk exploring the science behind ADHD and practical strategies for wellbeing.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, motivation, emotional regulation, and behaviour. While often associated with inattention and hyperactivity, ADHD is far more complex and influences many aspects of daily life.
This presentation explores both the **science of ADHD** and the lived experience of navigating a world designed primarily for neurotypical individuals.
What the talk will cover
Key differences between the ADHD brain and the neurotypical brain
The role of dopamine, hormones, and reward pathways
Emotional and behavioural patterns often linked with ADHD
The connection between ADHD and addiction
Practical lifestyle strategies based on the six pillars of health: sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental wellbeing, connection, and purpose
The session aims to provide clear, practical insights to help individuals better understand ADHD and explore ways to improve focus, well-being, and personal growth.
