SUMMARY:Do You Really Understand ADHD? A Talk with Andy Stone
DESCRIPTION:Andy Stone was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in childhood. Throughout school and early adulthood\, he struggled to access the right support and often felt isolated and different from those around him. This had a lasting impact on his mental health. \nThings began to change when Andy started to understand how his mind works. He learned that ADHD means thinking and feeling differently. Alongside the challenges\, he also recognised the strengths that come with it. By learning how to work with these strengths\, Andy went on to achieve a Guinness World Record in triathlon and later built a career as a shark diver. \nAndy now focuses on developing a clear\, practical understanding of ADHD and sharing that knowledge with others. \nThis 60-minute talk is suitable if you have ADHD\, are awaiting a diagnosis\, were diagnosed earlier in life\, or support someone with ADHD and want clearer information. \nAndy will talk about how ADHD shows up in everyday life and explain how he uses the six pillars of health to manage both challenges and strengths. \nDate: Tuesday 24 February\nTime: 7:00pm to 8:00pm\nLocation: Nantwich Youth & Community Centre \nTopics include \n\nHow the ADHD brain differs from the neurotypical brain \nAll-or-nothing thinking and the role hormones play \nLinks between ADHD and addiction \nPractical coping strategies and symptom management \nHow Andy used his ADHD strengths to achieve a Guinness World Record\n\nTickets\n£10 per person. Booking is required. \nBook your ticket here \nMore information\nAndy can be found online as ADHD Andy\, or via his website: \nwww.adhdandy.com
